Saguaro Energia, a massive fossil fuel expansion project advised by Wall Street bank JPMorgan Chase, is threatening the birthing ground of the magnificent blue whale and other marine wildlife in a UNESCO World Heritage site. We need YOUR help to put pressure on JPMorgan Chase to reconsider its involvement in this reckless project that will cause major harm to a rare safe haven for wildlife.
JPMorgan Chase is supporting the development of a new liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal in the Gulf of California, a biodiversity hotspot dubbed the "Aquarium of the World". The Gulf is home to roughly one-third of the world's marine mammal species, including fin whales, humpback whales, and the critically endangered Vaquita porpoise. It boasts 900 species of fish, and it's one of the few places on the planet where blue whales return to give birth and raise their young.
Allowing a climate-wrecking LNG project to be built here will destroy the irreplaceable sanctuary that endangered porpoises, baby whales, leatherback sea turtles and more desperately need to survive. Together, we must ratchet up the pressure on major banks, like JPMorgan Chase, to stop financing destruction and start funding sustainable solutions that will save our climate and our last wild places.
TAKE ACTION:
Add your name to tell JPMorgan Chase to stop backing fossil fuel expansion that endangers blue whales and other vulnerable marine life in the Gulf of California.
