本日は、クライアントアースによる招待制イベント「トランジション・ファイナンスの現状と今後の展望をめぐるラウンドテーブル」のご案内を差し上げています。
トランジション・ファイナンスは、経済全体の脱酸素移行を支えるために、資本を戦略的に配分する重要な役割を果たしています。世界の気温上昇が今後数年以内に1.5℃の閾値を超えると予測される中、信頼性が高く実効性のあるトランジション・ファイナンスの重要性はこれまで以上に高まっています。
本イベントでは、日本で普及しているトランジション・ファイナンスの信頼性の課題について専門家が分析・解説するとともに、トランジション・ファイナンスの信頼性を高めるための具体的な解決策を提供します。また、既存のトランジション・ファイナンス商品に関する定量分析および経済産業省のセクター別ロードマップの詳細な分析も行います。

We are pleased to invite you to ClientEarth's upcoming “Roundtable Discussion on the Current State and Future Prospects of Transition Finance”.
Transition Finance has a critical role to play in strategically deploying capital to support a whole-of-economy transition. As the planet is expected to exceed the 1.5C threshold in a few years, the need for credible and effective transition finance is more important than ever.
This event will present expert analysis of the credibility of existing transition finance in Japan and provide practical recommendations to bridge the perceived credibility gap. This event will include a presentation of original quantitative analysis of transition finance instruments issued so far as well as in-depth analysis of METI’s sectoral roadmaps.

Sean Kidney - Sean has served as CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) since its co-founding in 2009. He is currently serving on the Global Advisory Council of the GX Acceleration Agency (GXA). He has served on various advisory boards around the world including the European Commission, International Energy Agency, UK Government, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and US, Australian and Japanese Governments.
Prajwal Baral - Prajwal is an independent consultant providing advisory services on low-carbon technologies, transition finance and decarbonisation policies to leading global institutions including the WorldBank and United Nations Development Programme across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Adam Weiss, Chief Programmes and Impact Officer, ClientEarth - Adam is the head of the Client Earth Global Programme with experience conducting litigation before the European Court of Human Rights, UN treaty bodies and national courts in 20 European countries.
